I made 3 good friends today! shuang shuang, mei mei and yu yu.

They are all at pre school age, speak gibberish with little sense, and likes to climb on shelves and play imaginary games. But they are tougher than kids their age because they never cry when they got hurt and they just climb up as soon as they had a fall.

Mei mei is my favourite and likes to be carried around, but would cry if you let her down later, so to play safe, I decided against carrying her. I would hold her tiny hands instead, and she would wrap all her fingers around my index one, afraid that I would go and leave her alone. She would smile when she see me from far, and half walked, half run towards me, chewing her fingers at the same time. Thats mei mei, and i call her chi shou zhi (eat fingers) because i didnt know her name initially.

Shuang shuang is very pretty. She doesnt open up and smile at you when you first made frends with her. But she is very obedient and takes care of pang pang, a very extremely adorable plump baby. She also likes to help her mama keep the books that she herself took out! hahaha. mighty adorable. her favourite game is peek a boo and getting chased around.

yuyu is a follower. she doesnt have much opinions about what games to play, but whatever games you play, she would love to be invited and join in and she would have tons of fun no matter what game it is. she gets a good laugh when we sat on the slide and pretended that it was a train going to nowhere and then getting off the train in a hurry and running around the play area.

i fell in love with them in the 2 hours spent and i have never sweat it out so much ever since i got to taiwan. i look forward to seeing them every friday evening at the orphanage again. but 2 of them are leaving for foster care and next week is the last time i would be seeing them.

i hope mei mei finds someone who would never let go of her hand, not like me or other friends who have came, built a friendship and left. she looked so sad staring at me, separated by the gate that she can never climb out of because of her height.

As an adult, I have always wanted to read lots of books like how I did when I was younger. I love reading! (okay i know i sound like a geek.) Reading a good book suck me into the author's world and make me feel like i am experiencing everything that was written. Yeah, I can dream when I read.

There arent many author to choose from after you outgrow sweet valley, babysitters, roald dahl and vampires.

and I found one! After watching PS I love you, like most of the girls, I cried a packet of tissue (with yuan, who was watching a second time already). Out of curiosity, I went to read the book itself, after hearing heaps of people mentioning that the show is nowhere as good as the book.

But well probably the show spoiled it for me already. But her style of writing captivated me and sucked me into her world! I sorta felt her grieve for her dead husband when I was writing the book because she made it so real for me! Either that or I have a fabulous sense of imagination.

Addicted to CA, I went into the store and grab all of her books. wahaha. And I love the ability she gave me to dream about random things, and just mostly, about life! Her stories are not sappy love stories, but crazy imaginative plots!

A place called here is a place where all the missing things go to. Even missing people went there and there is another world in this place called here. Some keep looking for a way back but never did.

I wish you could see me now is about Ivan, the imaginary friend that was of course not imaginary to the kid who could see him, and even his aunt could see him but couldnt accept the fact that he was invisible.

Its really crazy and out of the world, but when you think about it, why not? Who is to say that such things doesnt exist? She is truly amazing! Read her books! I feel so lost before I go to bed now, without a book to read. Any recommendations? (:

I unbelievably ran for 45 minutes on the threadmill today and credits goes to ck who was spying on me behind me, while cycling, and making me feel that i would be mocked at for the rest of the week if i dont run the 45 minutes i intended to.

and also because every now and then i would feel my bulging tummy (i wish i could say biceps) and feel the motivation to run all over again!

surprisingly, i realised that the longer you run, the easier it gets. after the 30 minutes mark you are kind of immuned to it and you don't pant as heavily if you run till the stage where you are totally numb to the physical activity your body is doing. haha.

i thought about walking the stretch of road home, from bb mrt to my house when i was running. i thought about janet and i roaming the streets all dressed up (we would help each other dress up as well! so fun!) ready to go shopping! i also thought about how it would be like at the airport, meeting my mom again!

thats my day in the gym for you!

on a random note, please eat more fruits and vegetables friends! fruit juice are not good substitutes for fruits and vegs have lesser calories than fruits, but both are equally important for the body!

whaha, coming from a food and health student in NTU.

After 3 hours of sleep, 3 hours of train ride and 1 hour of cab ride, I finally reached Alishan. To be exact I was only halfway up, at this place called shi zhuo.

That was enough to take my breath away. On the way up I saw so many breath taking sceneries. Despite the heavy fog that day, there was a very visible sea of clouds that lie below me, amongst the mountains, and i swear i feel like a fairy, mayb guan yin, sitting in a car and going somewhere to drink tea with buddha and the monks.

The homestay itself, LITTLE SWISS, was the ultimate. Beautiful, breathtaking, calm and peaceful are all understatements to what you can witness from his homestay. not to mention his exceptional friendliness and warm attitude that I receive similarly in the fabulous homestay at sun moon lake. (apparently they are friends. wahaha.)

I felt that that was enough and i just wanted to stay in the room and soak in nature while lying on a comfortable bed w thick warm sheets, which i havent, since my sis left. and apparently if you were to sleep the other way, heads at the feet of the bed, you can stargaze and probably even catch a meteor! woo~ well it was foggy that night anyway. hahaha!

so anyway my friends insisted on going out and a part of me scolded myself for being lame so i went to fenqi lake, where there is no lake, but a sea of clouds beneath me and allas! the reason for the name. over there i had the BEST wasabi nuts i have ever had in my whole life and i cant stop popping them until my stomach feels hot and my nose feels like it would do some good with a fan. i so want to bring it back for amelia, mike and lyon! i know u guys would love it! wahaha. but no, im not going back to alishan before i leave. too bad. im just saying it. WAHAH. so evil.

alishan is the best place for photos because it was a clear blue sky that day! muahaha! talk about luck. lotsa pretty flowers that stood out so well amongst the green green trees and interesting stories about the sisters pond where they both die to give up the guy they love to each other.. hmm. thats when my camera died on me hahaha. and we had to go back soon anyways.

another 2 hours mini bus ride, 3 hours of STANDING on a squeezy small aisle in the train, mrt in taipei before we are back! muahaha. and not to forget, STEAMBOAT AGAIN FOR DINNER AT 11PLUS! WOO HOO! im a sinner!

I AM SO BROKE NOW! hahaha. after a big big BIG spending in one week with my sis and being labelled as the no matter where you go also got things to buy person.

so my closet is a little squeezier, my wallet is very much flatter. how unfair the change is not proportionate, given i have to eat cheap for the rest of the month and swear i won't buy anymore things or go shopping. (ok maybe let me get those NTU sweatshirt first before i start on the saving HAHA.)

So I am gg to save hard not only because I spend a bomb during their trip, acting as if i am a tourist as well, dont buy will regret forever mentality, but ALSO because I AM GG TO ALISHAN THIS WEEKEND, HOT SPRINGS END OF THE MONTH, KENTING START OF NEXT MONTH! WOO HOOOO!!!!

talk about being on a holiday!! <3 EXCHANGE! hahahaha. no stress no stress! ...

before you think that I really am heck caring about school, let me go back to the report I have to write in chinese as well as study for my test next week!

WOO HOOOO! WELCOME TO TAIWAN!

feels like a dream now that i look back on the past week that i spent with my sis and her boyfriend, whom i affectionately name them the hilarious duo now.

no matter how thrashy i feel, the moment i see them i just feel so light hearted and happy already!! ahaha. its true! sometimes cos of the freaking coldness and pouring rain (resulting in nice shoes being destroyed. a big no no), or sometimes due to lack of sleep, sometimes pms, hahaha. but they always always bring the smiles back!

we laughed so loudly ck could hear us from the stairway one floor above! hahahaha.

i never toured or want to tour taipei as much until they are here! we went to almost everything that is THE BEST here! hahaha. chiang kai shek memorial hall, palace museum, miniature taiwan, astronomical museum, shilin night market, SHIDA night market(JIALI!), ximending, miramar ferris wheel (scare the crap out of me.), and of course! gongguan night market just opp my schooooool.

bai lee hotel in minquan west road is highly recommended! cheap, clean, mighty good breakfast, wonderful service.

from jiali's bright smiles, weiyu's muscle popping arms from carrying the bags, and all 3 of us with a big belly, i suppose they had a smashing trip here! (:

i cant wear a waist belt no more. makes me stomach feel like a 0 trying to become an 8. and ever since i fell terribly ill, i could zip up with ease. now it has become a challenge. crap.

but oh well, there is always the gym! i havent enjoyed myself so much in a month now! i have been here for more than a month! woo hoo!! i dont hate being here, dont get me wrong! its a totally different experience and i learn a lot everyday! being independent and learning to deal with everything yourself. its just that honestly, nowhere is better than my stinking bed in bukit batok! hahaha. and the mommy i can feel and touch and laugh together with.

time to hit the gym. and also the books! i already have 2 tests and 1 project research to do by next week and its only coming into 3rd week of sch! (:p to chem geeks! HAHA.) hahaha. despite the slacker than nus timetable, the number of tests they have here are no diff! boo!

i miss you alr, my hilarious duo! and i am glad you guys get to experience a piece of the taiwan that i know. (: JIALLLLI! we didnt get to say a proper bye! but thanks for coming to taiwan and making me feel like the best one week i have ever had in ages. and the chilli sauce you brought gave me the best lunch in taiwan i have had in ages. LOVE YOU!!!! <3

JASON MRAZ IS FAB FAB FABULOUS.

He is the most amazing singer i have ever met and i have only been to 4 concerts including today's, his is the only one that does not have those special effects like fireworks and shiny costumes that make them look like disco balls.

he didnt have a lame entrance like rising up from nowhere too.

he just ran onstage, switch off the lights, and started the concert. white plain long sleeves, jeans and his guitar.

IT WAS A BLAST!!!!! SO DAMN HIGH. everyone SPRANG up at the start of the first song and i never got to sit on the chair that i paid 2800NTD for thereafter. lucky i came earlier and warmed the seat a little.

JASON MRAZ! I'M YOURSSS! <3

chris! shaomin! be sure to catch the polaroids he takes and throws at the crowd! HAHAHA. SHARE WITH MEEE!!

a real singer captures the audience with his character, with his voice. JASON!

every gift she passed to me brings me to a new high! hahaha its like seeing and feeling a part of home! and may may you are so sweet! i really love everything u made and gave me! (: the greatest of all, your friendship!

she wasnt very well though, from the plane ride then the bus ride! :s but im sure she would be as insistent as yuan to play despite her feeling unwell. HAHA. dont waste no time.

the best part of the day: squeezing into the bed under the cozy covers and talking, laughing like how we always do at home. mmm. the first time in weeks since i lied on a real bed! YAY!! her bed is so soft u practically sink in and feets up when u sit down. hahaha.

A WEEK OF ADVENTURE TO COME ;)
