another late bday celebration! happy belated bday to alfred! fyi his bday falls on the 12th of july! :D
went to do a cake at pei's house for fred early in the morning!! I SWEAR THE RAIN HATES ME. i've been caught in the rain in very very hopeless situations for the past few days [eg. missing my qualifying eng test in NUS, being all wet for work] but nothing beats today. SERIOUS.
story goes i want to wait for yuan at the bus stop instead of gg to pei's hse first cos it would def be v weird to stare at pei and his mom. while waiting, she mentioned tt the north east side is raining so ask me to go to his hse first if it starts to rain in the west area too. it did drizzle so i started walking. fyi, there is no shelter to pei's hse from the bus stop and its a rather long walk. long enough to make u feel helpless when you are caught in a pour.
when i reached his hse i was a little wet alr so i quickly press the doorbell twice but nobody came to my rescue! at this point in time, the drizzle turned into a super duper uber huge pour! i was stranded!! went to hide under a tree [not much help] and attempt to dry myself with tissues! -_- until pei the wonderman come and save me with umbrella, followed by towel and sa shirt + shorts. HAHA THANKS.
fast fwd to dinner!
belle and i really suffered during this buffet dinner at Carnivores at Chijmes. the food is really good! a must try would be the chicken w ham and the grilled pineapple.
whats so special about this place is that the chefs will come up to you personally with a whole stick of meat [of course he got to come up to us many times for many types of meat, as the restaurant name suggest] and cut up a slice of it for u.
back to me and belle. we really suffered cos being very gian [stingy], we actually thought it was ala carte and since its gonna be quite ex [according to brynner] so we've decided to eat to our hearts content before turning up for the dinner at Chijmes. [so we would order lesser and hence would have to pay lesser] HAHA. SUEY. ITS A DAMN BUFFET. can you imagine the horror on our faces! HAHA.
