There was this really rude woman i talked over the phone today with in phonathon!!
she was insisting that the government is rich enough to pay for the needy students and when i mentioned tt govt is helping by giving dollar for dollar for every gift made,
she (lose alr so change focus of debate) went on to say tt singaporean's parents should be rich enough to afford uni education and she refuse to help foreigners. 'Help those foreigners for what?!' she said.

1. not all singaporeans' parents can afford their child's education and many still go on bank loan for goodness sake. like ME?! i almost told her off. snobbish rich ass.
2. even though i m not some avid fans of foreigners, i still have to say that they do contribute to our pool of talent and possibly more than half of what you own are invented or created or imported from them by them.
what an asshole. could have just said tt she was not interested in making a gift. sometimes when i meet ppl like her makes me realised tt being rich really makes you treasure your money lesser, and you begin to lose the ability to sympathise with ppl who are not as fortunate as you
